Yeah, I noticed that also a few days ago... Only had a post with 2 images, deleted that one, not sure if that did anything, or they keep an 'archive'.
I'll use mu-43 just for equipment threads - no images.
thinking micro43.org will do fine for images... and prolly will be my primary.

Been an infrequent poster over at MU-43 and recently revisited to learn of the TOS situation. Seems that the  new parent company behind MU-43 is pretty insensitive to intellectual property rights of photographers. I’m still looking for a new place to land.

As a few others have said, one of the DPR members created the micro43.org site. Simple sign up, no ads and some of us have already joined.

Check it out, some have already restarted some of the common threads frequently seen here.

Any site that cannot be navigated sensibly without an Ad Blocker is not for me.

I am a bit surprised that anyone might think that huge advertising presence that makes a site viable is quite ok if such advertisements that make the site viable are routinely blocked by all its users.

Whether I even engage with them on whichever topic, I usually agree with some of what they have to say, and respect the way they say it, even if we disagree instead (on no particular topic). Most of these people have also changed my mind, or furthered my knowledge in something we agreed upon.

I sure hope to see them somewhere elses around the web.

Hopefully this place finds a way through this, but until then, there kind of seems like an obvious place to at least give a shot for a few weeks, no?

Just out of curiosity, on your stats, it says total messages 44,774. Is that to include DM?

That's totally weird. When I look at my Stats I see 37,695 yet when I look at my post above it shows 39,976, so I have no idea how they come to those numbers.

The DMs would only amount to a few hundred, the demise of the Off Topic maybe removed a fair chunk, plus the usual mod intervention in removing troublesome sub-threads maybe zapped a few more posts. The 44K+ number you saw may really be the full total I've done over the years, but I simply don't see that number anywhere when I look.

I actually see that 37,??? (And counting) number in the stats. I see the 39,??? On your individual posts (after your name).
