My PC can't see my pics on one of my SD cards

I recently bought two SanDisk 128GB 177MB/s Extreme Pro SD cards and one of them can not be read by my PC.  It can't even find it when I put it in the slot, However, I can see the images in my X-T2. Is there a fix or should I just toss that card?

I've been using SanDisk cards for years without a problem, which makes me wonder if this is a one-off bad copy, or a new QC problem with SanDisk memory cards?

The first thing I would try is formatting that card in your camera.   This is the first thing that should be done with any new card.

Thanks, but I did that first thing. . I'm not sure it's relevant but one  thing I noticed was that the troublesome card was made in Maylasia, while all my previous SanDisk were made in China.  Probably best to just bin the troublesome card and hope my other cards stay good.

Might be a longshot, but carefully clean the contacts. I'm sure they look bright, shiny, and new, but a very slight speck of dust can have an affect. Couldn't hurt. Good luck.

Try a different card reader.

Re: My PC can't see my pics on one of my SD cards

Only a problem of initialization of the Sd card Put the card in the computer then in parameters of the PC ask for Disk management In the window you now will see the card.

In Action, all, choose format then choose the type of format as exFAT instead of probably the one that was use (frequently NTFS)

The card is now ex Fat and can be read normally

Sorry my system is in french so may be my english translation is not enterely correct for the system That should do it

That’s what I’d do.

In the past I’ve managed to open media on a Mac that wouldn’t open on a PC so it would be interesting to see if anyone you know with a Mac can see the contents of the card? I don’t suppose it helps you much except perhaps something on you PC needs updating?

If you can see the images in the card in the camera, then the card seems to be ok. I suggest you connect the camera to the PC and transfer the images from the card.

Then reformat the card in the camera and see if it works.

I'd exchange the bad card with SanDisk.  It may take some time.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Strange that I've only had trouble with this one card.
