Canon R3 & Tamron 150-600 (Photos)

After having used the combo for a few weeks, I must say I am very impressed with the performance of the Tamron.

Yes very occasionally it will hunt in thick branches when locking onto a small bird, but in general, the performance, auto AF tracking and eye af is very reliable and fast. I would say it gives 90% of the 100-500 for 40% of the price. Its not perfect but unless you must get every shot pin sharp (for paid work) then it represents great value. If it wasn't a top performing lens I wouldn't be using it.

A few sample shots
