dp quattro viewfinders

Hello! I recently ordered a dp2 quattro and was hoping to get clarity on the available externa viewfinders.

is the LVF-01 an attachment that goes over the camera’s back screen? If so, how effective is it in practice?

would you recommend the VF-41 optical viewfinder instead?

On other than Quattro (any DP), I found the view in the Sigma VF models too small for my taste, preferring larger and much cheaper third-party models where the viewing scale is about the same as that seen by the naked eye.

Yes.

If so, how effective is it in practice?

It does what it says it does - well.

The issue I have/had is that it just adds too much bulk; the way it's attached, it feels precarious.

For me, I realised I don't benefit from it. I attached a matt screen protector, which helps with sun + glare; then, I cup my other hand to provide shade from the sun if needed - I can see the screen well enough to compose, etc.

I've never used it, so I can't comment or compare.

It is an excellent piece of equipment, beautifully designed and the image view in it is very good. A very necessary tool in bright sunlight.

The VF21 is also good but I do not have it, as I use an optical viewfinder modified from the viewfinder out of an old Sigma compact film camera. It can be useful at times when I do not want to use the LVF-01.
