R6 mii Raw Burst stuck in Auto ISO

Playing around with my R6ii and it appears that when I put it into Raw Burst mode ISO will only go to Auto. This is with our without pre-shooting. The control becomes greyed out. I can't find anything on the web about this. Is this just how it is?  Not the biggest deal, but certainly confusing.

What mode are you shooting in?

On page 292 of the Advanced User Guide, in the section on RAW Burst Mode, it states:

"ISO Auto is used when shooting in <P>, <Tv>, or <Av> mode"

Thanks!  I wonder why that is.  Not sure I get it.

Another dot point in the manual in the RAW burst mode section says:

"In RAW burst mode, the aperture value will change if you zoom while pressing the
shutter button halfway or completely with zoom lenses that have variable maximum
aperture. To maintain the same exposure in <M> mode, consider shooting with ISO
Auto."

This is just a guess on my part, but the last sentence makes me suspect that the camera changes ISO during the burst shooting to maintain a proper exposure during the burst if there are lighting changes.

To maintain the burst rate it may be quicker for the camera to vary the ISO than to change the shutter speed or aperture in varying light conditions.
