XH-1 Film Simulation Can't Change It. Help!

I've had the XH-1 sometime, but never tried to change the the built-in film simulations.

Today under the menu system I go to IQ and scroll down to "Film Simulation" the film case tape is grey, and won't respond to a push. In fact I can't even stop the scroll to rest on the greyed out "Film Simulation" I also seeing "Grain Effect" greyed out, and several other selections.

Any ideas on how to change from STD, to say Provia?

Thanks for the help!

Provia is STD.

Thanks for the help!

How about a shot of the top dials and rear screen in normal shooting mode to see what's going on? Your drive ring setting is probably set to something like "ADV" instead of "S". That would do it.

Looks like you could have some scene-preset mode engaged, or some filter mode. They're known to make filmsim choice impossible. Can you make sure these 'specials' are all off? By the way, the Std. film equals to Provia.

OMG, you were right. It was set on ADV. What the heck I should just go back to my Pentax ME.

Thank you all for the help! I guess I spend to much time with the XPro3 and need to spend more time with the XH-1 and it's manual!
