First try manual focusing
8

Just got my first x-mount camera, a X-e1 with a xf16mm f/2.8...but for it's first outing, I stuck an old sigma 70-300mm on it and tred my hand at manual focusing for the first time... didn't help that these little critters wouldn't stay still, but got a few half-decent shots....and a lot more that were binned 😂, but I'm enjoying the experience so far 👍

Absolutely great shots.  I have been on a manual lens kick for a while now.  It makes you pause some and consider your shot.  You also get good at it until it just seems as easy as AF.  I too use the XE1, I have 2 of them and a xt100 body and most of the time all 3 have manual lenses mounted. I use the magnification wheel and the highlight functions at the same time.

And of course, old manual lenses are so cheap on EBay.   I have 4 Canon FD lenses, 28, 35, 50, and 100.  All are wonderful.
