Why? I don’t really have 15 minutes to devote. But, a good summary might help people like me. Thanks and keep shooting!

100% agree.  As a general practice here, please avoid just posting a link without providing at least some sort of a description — or even better — a decent summary of what’s being said.  Many people, myself included, don’t have the time or inclination to read every post, so providing a bit more information when linking to a video or article can be helpful, and in some cases, necessary for people to have any interest in taking the time to see it.

Summary is: unless You are doing big prints (like 50x70cm or more in 300 dpi) You don't need more than +- 26Mpix

Well known wisdom I guess?

My 3 cents: for large prints medium format is the way

Hmm. Glad I didn’t miss anything and thanks for the summary and your $0.03!

If you don’t  have the time don’t watch it - simple! Or, if you know how to use YouTube just skip to the end. YouTube even shows you what’s in each section like this, see the box at the bottom?

Jerry I know you’ll likely take this as a slight but I can’t help that as it’s not intended but you should learn to quote folks without keep repeating content like videos that’s already been reposted unnecessarily once.  It makes forum posts quicker and easier to read and saves time.

Gee, thanks for the posting advice, but I will sometimes choose to include the content so people who want to see it can directly link from my post and have some context for the comments made.  You may prefer to do this differently, and that’s your choice to make.

I clicked on the thread on what do you know, this is a well-known and respected wildlife and nature photographer here in Nova Scotia. I chatted with him briefly a few years ago while shooting a stunning dawn at Peggy's Cove.

While not Fuji-specific, he discusses the advantages and disadvantages of both high and lower megapixel cameras. Topics include relating mp count to:

- printing ppi and viewing distances

- mp count relating to monitor resolution

- cropping

- upscaling software

- noise myths and facts

- lens sharpness

- other factors in gear selection (high vs low mp cameras as a whole)

Words of wisdom: "Don't be afraid of lower megapixel cameras!"

"Be yourself. No one can say you're doing it wrong." -Charles M. Schulz
"I love mankind... it's PEOPLE I can't stand!!" - Linus
