Seems firmware 1.80 for R6 MK1 been pulled back...

I downloaded it a couple of days ago and found no problems with my R6 MK1. Now its not available on Canon sites. Think we have to wait and see what Canon is doing.

Anyone with problems on your R6 MK1?

I was not able to download it - I kept getting a 404 error.

OOps. I already downloaded it, but haven't tried doing any substantial photography with the camera. I hope Canon lets us know what is going on soon.

Hope the revised 1.80 will address something more than an FTP issue,...and fixes even more bugs!

I had v. 1.40 and was able to update to 1.70 - just not 1.80.  Also, when I went to register the camera & lens on Canon's site, I was not able to upload an image of the receipt as they request.  I tried numerous times. I'm running Mac OS Ventura 13.2, which they don't even list on their list of operating systems.  The JPEG image of the receipt is a whopping 42 kB.  Canon's site isn't exactly cutting-edge technology.

According to a thread I read elsewhere there is a problem with switching from a creative mode to a custom mode resulting in an error 70. Removing the battery corrects it but it comes back

"The fact is that relatively few photographers ever master their medium. Instead they allow the medium to master them and go on an endless squirrel cage chase from new lens to new paper to new developer to new gadget, never staying with one piece of equipment long enough to learn its full capacities, becoming lost in a maze of technical information that is of little or no use since they don't know what to do with it."

Downloaded 1.80 from the German Website. Tested it (but shortly) and found no problem. Now it has dissappeared from the website ...

I decided not to take any chances and downgraded to v. 1.7.0 using the Canon Utility on my computer. Then I'll give v. 1.8.1 a few weeks until I bother updating to it whenever it comes out.
