Tamron 18-300 and X-H2 or X-T5

I’ve seen some information already talking about the fact that only specific Fujifilm X lenses can take full advantage of the 40MP sensor on these cameras. What I haven’t come across is if third party lenses (and in particular the Tamron 18-300 lens) would be fully compatible with those cameras. Anyone here have any experience with the Tamron 18-300 lens and either of the 40MP cameras? TIA

I posted some XT5/Tamron 18-300 samples on this thread from a couple of recent outings. No problems with this combination.

Like other posters here, no problem works fine, very sharp results at 300mm below a sample while I was testing the combo to check what it gives in bad conditions : dim light, slightly raining.

Distance 80m

The frame at 300mm

and details on the lichens

some branches in the foregroud

It looks very sharp

Which camera do you use, the H2 or the T5?
