Ice sculptures
13

A few days ago I had a chance to visit the (indoor) Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival a few days before it closed down, and was delighted by what international ice artists and some wonderfully deft lighting can produce. Unfortunately it was extremely cold (surprise, surprise; -12 C 10.4 F) so I photographed the exhibition in two sessions. I was happy to find the R5 with its multiple BBF buttons can still be handled with gloves on. This is a small sample of the 90 something sculptures they had on show.

Thanks Emile.

Some great shots.ive the walrus.

I do some shooting in north Sweden and have to be careful with keeping batteries warm and so forth but the really tricky bit is keeping myself warm.

Bet you had a good time.

Re: Ice sculptures

Thanks, I had a wonderful time but I am not sure I would like to be in your shoes for hours and hours.

My post should have said I loved the walrus. Sorry for the typo.

I use an insulatied peli case and put a low cost water flask in it. Fill with boiling water and put in the peli along with batteries, laptops, camera and so on.

I wear a heated vest and coat but I still get cold.

Re: Ice sculptures

Short of walking around in your bed all day there isn't much else you can do.
