Hello Sigma Shooters!

February gone and March roars in like a lion, the weather is still very cold and light snow is falling here in Denver. Time for our weekly show and tell about images taken with a Sigma cameras and lenses. Remember the drill, you can enter up to 3 images and it would be helpful if you give you post a title so that comment will be directed properly.

Now go out and shoot some pix and have fun. Members in the northern hemisphere try to stay warm!

… Steve: An interesting and attractive composition. There is clearly one dog that is the subtle focus of the image, but it also well captures the pack and it’s movements, as well as it’s relationship to the people and horses. To have captured the moment with everything in focus would not have been nearly as strong.

Nice subtle colours.

Thanks, Iain.  It's a challenge shooting fast lenses wide open and I get a lot of rejects!  Picking the focus point is a decision I try to make but often luck comes into it.

I've now pretty much decided to stick with the fp unless I want some super technical type shot of a product / object, in which case I'll press the Merrills  into action.  And to try a bit more creativity.

Very clean, soft understated colors, great job Iain!

I can't wait for spring with the last snow on the mountains, this spring greeting is very hopeful..processed in "neutral" mode, better drawing in both shadows and highlights.

Really, Sigma should just release an updated Foveon camera with that sensor and better processor.  It made superb photos in the right hands way back, so, surely with the new knowledge they have and the advances in tech it should be possible.  I don't really care if its not full frame.

Nice image Peter:  I think those a crocus (sp) flowers and are generally the first to flower in early spring here in Colorado.  No sign here of spring as yet, but we remain hopeful!
