[Sigma 85 f/1.4 DG HSM Art] Haze issue in long-time use

Hello.

I am using Canon EOS R6 and finding for a nice portrait lens with bright aperture and sharp IQ.

I get interested in this Sigma 85 Art for long time since it has affordable price as well as all conditions I require.

However, I have seen a review of this lens with haze issue on some glasses in the lens which usually occur in Sigma lens when used for long time, this 85 Art as well.

The review also says many users do face the problem even though the issue the Art series was improved compared to older series. (But still, it occurs.)

So I am posting this to ask if some people here who own the Sigma 85 Art also face this issue or not. If you do, how the issue affect your photography?

Just to make clear before making decision.

Thank you.

I'm curious to know where you read about this.

Apart from the loss of contrast in some specific lighting situations I think my 85 art is fine...

Was the review from some random unknown person on the internet, or a legitimate, credible source?

Never noticed such an issue. What review it is? How many are those many people?

Have or had signa art 14, 20, 28, 35, 50, 85, 135 a long time. Some of them since they have been released. NEVER any issues with haze or similar.

Had some Sigma Art lenses in the past (85mm/1.4 and 24-105/4.0) and never noticed any issues with internal haze (or dust or moisture, for that matter). I might have been lucky (and used them not long enough/not in humid or dirty conditions), but a quick internet search for "sigma + lens + haze" did not return any meaningful results.

Re: [Sigma 85 f/1.4 DG HSM Art] Haze issue in long-time use

I have 50, 85, 135 ART.

I see no haze.

They are all sharp corner to corner.

I prefer my RF50f1.2L

At 85, I use mostly my EF 85f1.4L IS more

The 135 ART is my preferred lens over my EF 135f2.  I do have the RF 135f1.8 on preorder though.

I have only used the Sigma ART indoors in a moderate climate. They are all big and heavy though.

The Sigma ART lenses are very good IQ in my experience and moderately priced.

Any lens could get hazy or damaged. But my Sigma Art lenses (some bought new, some bought used) are all solid.
