Where can I find an X-E4?
2

Looks like all the retailers are out, used sellers are price gouging and used websites don't have any stock - what other places haven't I tried?

Place an order at a store (or several) and wait… and where are you located?

I'm in the US - California. I put a stock alert on BH and Adorama months ago with no luck.

They don’t come into stock because the have a list of orders that take the stock when it arrives.

Same here in Europe. I was looking for a black one. No shop had any, except one of my regular shops in Antwerp. Only a silver one, but I ordered it immediately and just got it a few days ago. I don't know what I would've done otherwise. I checked for delivery times and the answer was basically - dunno, could be months.

Settle on a retailer you want to deal with, and place an order - otherwise you'll likely be playing a long waiting game for a stock alert (stock that comes in goes straight back out to orders on their waiting lists).

This goes for just about any product these days, whether it be a camera or a car.

Re: Where can I find an X-E4?

As another poster mentioned, you will need to actually place an order at your retailer of choice and wait.  Putting your name on the notification list will not get you very far.  When shipments come in they are already spoken for by people on the list who have ordered.  When I wanted the 70-300 lens that's the approach I had to take to get it.  It took about 3-4 months before my name made it to the top of the list.

Good luck!

Basically, if you cannot put yourself on a list and wait for the camera, you don’t really need/want it.

Price "gouging"?
1

There are a lot of items that appreciate in value as time goes on.  Supply and demand also come to mind. The ones I've seen for sale are typically at original MSRP, which I don't consider gouging.

Now OTOH, the prices of used X100Vs might be considered "gouging".

If you want Acros, (and about 40 other film simulations), use DxO and then you can buy any camera you want.

I´m a RAW user and I agree somewhat.  However, many people buy Fuji to use jpegs.

You have to actually put an order in, then you're in the que. I'd probably put an order in for both B&H and Adorama and then just wait. As soon as one ships, cancel the other order.
