R7 firmware update
5

After processing the download on a good SD card, installing firmware 1.2 was not moving/installing beyond the update screen which was frozen, or so I thought.  I did everything by the instructions, advice from successful postings, but couldn’t get beyond the install screen.  So I called CPS and we found that if I pressed the lower directional button to the right, the greyed out OK tab lit-up !  And that made it install correctly.

thought I’d share a potential solution

Re: R7 firmware update

Ah man, saw the heading and thought Oh wow firmware update, nice. But I suppose that firmware update will be in the form of a R7ii or something

Cheers

Yes, the heading should have been Updating the R7's firmware.

The touchscreen doesn’t work during firmware updates.  You must use the D-pad and Set button.  This has always been the case.

I didn’t see this thread but but I had the same thing happen. I just got lucky and pressed that button.
