Hi Zeee,

Fascinating shots and accompanying information - thanks for sharing.

(We hope the sacrifice wasn't too grisly... ).

Hi mojorisn,

It's always challenging to get good compositions at museums where exhibits can overlap - you've done a great job with this series, this eye-catching shot being our favourite.

Hi José,

A fine series of very well controlled shots - though special mention must go to the model who managed to smile (and stay upright!) despite the challenging conditions...

One day I will get a big boy zoom to go with my camera and won't have to crop the living daylights out of my photos. The bird was well within range that 350-400mm would have filled the image nicely

Cheers

Hi Jason,

Given the limitations, you've done very well - that's a very dramatic capture!

After our last discussion on EF 70-200 f/2.8 lenses here, I managed to grab a used copy for decent $$. Just testing it out in the nearby forest. Lovely lens(My first ever L tele) but slightly heavy and it attracts too much attention. One positive of that is I managed to make two new acquaintances and briefly discussed photography with strangers. so a great conversation starter for sure!

Hi LeftAndRight,

We do like images of people wandering through woods - great light too.

We have friends from Europe staying with us at the moment, and yesterday we took them for a picnic and stroll on our neighbour's farm. This is the heart of our local limestone country, rocks laid down 20 - 60 million years ago, rich in fossils of all kinds. It's one of the best sites in the world for penguin fossils - in fact our neighbour has a fossil penguin named after him.

I took the R6 and my new 14-35...

The same outcrop, looking straight at the bishop's nose - which has disappeared...

Hi grenow,

Dramatic scenery and skies to showcase your new tech, this shot being our favourite.  Nice.

Went to a car show near my home on Sunday. Everything from old classics to newer cars with an emphasis on high dollar sports cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Corvettes. I tend to shoot detail shots and closeups, trying to shoot the entire vehicle often includes unwanted stuff in the background.

Shot mostly with my Canon R and RF 24-105, a few with a Tokina 100mm macro.

Hi Chris,

You have a great eye - we really like getting in close on details/ textures too (Karen is much better at this - and most other things  - than me).  Great work.

(For some reason this reply isn't including the images - technology eh?).

Notre-Dame-de-Pitié. A very dark church.

Malleval from the church.

I went to buy some wine frome somewhere close to the medieval village of Malleval (Loire). I spent about 20 minutes there with my camera.

The church goes back to about the 11th century and like most old building pieces have been added as time passes. The village and church were destroyed during the religious wars in the 16th century. I think that it was burned down. The church and I assume other building were repaired starting in the 17 th century
