Cold Walk in the Park - M6
9

It was a brisk 37 degrees when my wife and I took our dogs for a walk.  It was pretty chilly since we were near the river but good to get outside.

This is my first time shooting with the M6 again after a long hiatus.  I decided to get a copy for this exact purpose, to take with me on dog walks.  Today I paired it with the 15-45mm but I plan to keep the 22mm on it when that arrives.

Hello Harold,

Thank you for posting these photos.

Last year our two little dogs (age 17 and 19) passed away.  My wife and I, as well as the two dogs, enjoyed regular walks.  We have so missed them that walks are no longer the same.  Recently, a good friend has graciously offered us a new born puppy.  Their Cockapoo had a litter of puppies and in a few weeks we will again have the joy of a dog in our home.   We are looking forward to having a dog accompany us when it is of age.

I will have my M6II with the 22mm attached with me on those walks.

Best regards

Randy

Dogs are certainly a blessing but also a curse (when you have to let them go).  I’ve lost 2 dogs in recent years due to old age and it never gets easier.  My wife and I have two dogs now and it will certainly be painful when they leave us as well.  But we couldn’t imagine not having them in our lives.

Beautiful shots. I am looking forward to using my new M6II and this lens in my local park’s walks now that temperatures are dropping a little bit. It will have to be myself and my wife only, though, as our cat is not much of a walker 😊. I love dogs but living in a flat makes it difficult. She is 5 years old now so hopefully we still have some good 10 years with her.

Our pets become our children once are own children are grown and on their own. I wish you much happiness with your cockapoo puppy. As a bonus, I'm sure he or she will be good for some delightful images.

Nice shots. Made with what in my opinion is an underappreciated camera and kit lens.

(I know, some have unfortunately gotten poor copies of the M 15-45mm kit lens. It's just that when one is good, it's very, very good. )

I agree, very happy with my copy of the lens, bought as a kit with the M50 in 2019. Need to test it more with the M6II now. f8 and be there!
