Nice picture Larry, there's always something nice to find in the archives!

Thanks Peter:  Searching the archives is a nice activity for cold snowy days!

An older photo from the High Tatras before sunset.

Two years ago I took some interesting photos from the High Tatras just before sunset .. difficult to process, I left the setting "auto" so that the colors were as close as possible to what I saw, I only remember strong yellowish colors at sunset.. color mode neutral.

Nice shot Peter; thanks for sharing.  I like the detail and the low hanging cloud!

Re: An older photo from the High Tatras before sunset.

Thank you both, Larry and Vitée, for your kind words. At the very beginning of the processing, it didn't look like the detail would come out as you can see it now, but I used high contrast with clarity in Lightroom and that helped a lot to separate the details, the sharpness was taken care of in the basic Topaz-DeNoise mode, I didn't sharpen anything, in I have SPP sharpness set to -1. I don't care about noise or sharpness at all. It will do everything in the basic setting Topaz-Denoise, great AI..and still the photo looks razor sharp

Thank you both for noticing this photo. It gave me quite a bit of work before I found a better way of processing it.

Re: Marlo 2017 - from the Archives

Nice shot, Vitée. Lately, I have been more attracted to more flat regions in photography, and this photo is like that, the mountains are only in the background - in the foreground is a beautifully captured flock of birds. What species is it - I assume in Australia?

My favorite DP3 Merrill, fantastic camera! The wide-angle shot suits him.

I think there are two species in the main flock, white ibis. I don't know what the other birds are.

Yeah... love the DP3M.
