ND filters for RF 14-35mm f/4?

Hi

I have been using B+W screw-on ND filters (3, 6, 10 stops) with EF 16-35mm f/4.  These filters work great.  I recently bought RF 14-35mm f/4.  The lightroom profile for the lens cleans up distortion and vignette nicely.  What ND filters are recommended for this very wide angle lens w/o introducing additional vignettes?

Thanks

Duy

I have B+W MRC Nano Master * but 82mm for my Nikon 14 -30 mm ( this lens have filter size 82mm ) and is really good filter. I have 0.9 and 1.8 - not color cast at all

If you have problems with cleaning filters before, get this new Nano MRC,  and never look back
I have some filters from other brands like Nikon, Tiffen, Hoya, older B&W, Lee, Sony (Zeiss) but this really clean super easy compare to all others

I believe at least one, and perhaps two, standard thickness 77mm filters should work OK.  You should be able to verify that with the filters you currently use with the  EF16-35 f/4

I use clip filters that fit behind the lens with the 16-35. https://kolarivision.com/kolari-magnetic-clip-in-filters/ Obviously they have no vignetting effects.

I know variable filters will be thicker, but wouldn't that be a better choice since daytime brightness can vary greatly?

Interesting.

I wonder how they preserve the ability to focus at infinity? A glass window would displace the focus a little.

Adding a little positive (lens) power to the windows could fix that, I suppose.

I use Formatt Hitech Firecrest filters on my RF 14-35 f/4.  The Firecrest filters, including ND, are available in as "SuperSlim" and I have not had any vignetting problems.

"thicker" would not work for me due to severe vignetting

What I have works well with EF 16-35mm f/4 but causes a lot of additional vignetting at 14mm

The B+W that you mentioned works at 16mm but causes additional vignette at 14mm
