As long as we are wildly speculating, I'll guess the original owners were sad at the paltry crop-sensor-friendly lens selection and found that f6.3 was worse indoors than their phone.

Probably not. It’s interesting that KEH doesn’t have any R7 or R10s on offer. So for some reason MPB has a bunch of like new specimens. I think they may be review copies.

Re: R7 and R10; Quick to be Dumped?

MPB has 10+ of the EOS R3, R5, R6, R7, R10, R, and RP.

If that's a sign that they're all about to be "dumped", the only R series camera left in the line would be the R6-Mark2

What means this if anything?

It means MPB is all in on the Canon R stuff !

That is good news for people interested in buying or trading in for R gear.

MPB is my favorite camera store.

You could give them a try.

I think it means that people in general buy things and try them and move on if they are not what they wanted. Ebay has 22 used R7 cameras when I looked just now, some with lenses and some as bodies only.

I've bought and sold gear at mpb.com, they are in my opinion the best used gear site. They price gear fairly and assign the condition correctly.  Only once did I purchase a used lens and saw it had a scratch on the outside not mentioned and when I brought it to their attention they exchanged it for a better graded lens at the same price.

Personally I own the R7 and am relatively happy with it but I would trade mine in at mpb if Canon came out with an R7 MkII that had a battery grip and a few other improvements.

They may be 'reconditioned' copies that were used in press events. Back in 2013 I picked up a very nice 'reconditioned' full frame body from the manufacturer - when I opened it up it had never been shot with.

Different manufacturers tend to offload these cameras in different ways at different times.

Perhaps MPB (USA) have been tasked with selling all the press demo models - there must have been loads of them.

Exactly why I almost never buy used cameras. On the other hand, I just bought a "renewed" RF 600 F11 for $509... A savings of $190. That was worth it to me. And I know how well these F11 lenses work, so if it's not perfect, Bam. Free return, and I'll try again 👍

I would rather buy from BH with their not tax card and it would be cheaper with a full warranty

Instead they allow the medium to master them and go on an endless squirrel cage chase from new lens to new paper to new developer to new gadget, never staying with one piece of equipment long enough to learn its full capacities, becoming lost in a maze of technical information that is of little or no use since they don't know what to do with it."

I’m glad I didn’t see that sale, that would be very hard to pass up!

I don't know exactly either But I really don't care. I just know it's not new, but I expect it to perform as such, or I'll send it straight back. $399 ! WoW ! That's a steal !

Wow - none on the UK site right now - R10's typically selling used in mint condition at up to 85% of new price and R7's 95% of new price quickly.

If they are "selling" them for 95% of new, that means they would give me about 30% of new.... on a good day, when they were feeling generous

And often one finds still stock issues with some retailers for new bodies although no more than a couple of weeks late now.

Both excellent cameras within doing what they say on the tin - coupled with good noise reduction and fast cards in CRAW or jpeg - it's just rolling shutter I can see which limits them really in the APSC world. No obvious replacement yet inside Canon anyway - although the OM1 is tempting.
