Hood for Canon M32/1.4 lens

Can anyone recommend an affordable, third-party hood for the M32/1.4 lens? Also, what other M lens hood, if any, fits also the M32/1.4 lens?

I also use the JJC hood:

I also use a 43mm -> 55mm step up ring and a 55mm lens cap on the lens, and the hood fits right over those no problem.  Helps keep stray fingers off the glass, and the lens can use the same 55mm filters and lens caps as the EF-M 18-150mm and 11-22mm lenses.

Omg, that JCC job is bigger than the hood for my 70-200/2.8 monster! 😂😭

It’s virtually identical with the recommended Canon ES-60 hood, which is three times the price. It is a largish hood but is very effective, well-made, and reverses snugly over the lens. Reversed on the 32, my M6ii still easily fits in a small Lowepro Adventura SH-100ii bag.

The 18-150 hood is an alternative.  Tight fit but works.

EW-60F from China works as well.

I don't reverse. It's just not in my nature. Philosophically I affix the hood and leave it. The camera and/or lens go in the bag with the hood as is.

Yes, I can confirm this. The original hood is to bulky to store in my bag. I also prefer my hoods attached as ready to use.

I have the same one pictured and when I first tried it I thought it wasn't going to fit either -- but, after getting it properly aligned, push firmly and it will go on.  It's definitely a tight fit.  Search the M Talk forums for a thread describing the tightness, yet working.

Get a cheap one for the 32 & avoid mixing hoods between lenses.  I’m guessing that the “tight” hood will eventually stretch to better fit the 32 and be too loose for the “correct” lens.

Re: Hood for Canon M32/1.4 lens

I think i might have gone super cheap on the 32 hood & ordered one from eBay (Asia) for less than $2,  Took over 2 months to arrive.

I get that. In my case, I often want a minimal bag. I’ve become accustomed to reversing all my hoods from the 11-22 right up to long teles, and bayoneting them in quickly when shooting. Space inside a fitted hood is wasted during storage.

EF-M 32mm f/1.4 lens + Canon EW-60F lens hood.

When the EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens was released the matching lens hood (which is a barrel-type) was not shipped for quite some time. So wanting to protect my lens from damage, I bought an EW-60F lens hood which is made for the 18-150mm lens. It fits perfectly although the first time I fitted it I had to push it forward onto the lens' bayonette style fitting attachment on the front of the lens. It's robust, doesn't scratch easily, doesn't show scratches if it is scratched and was quite affordable when I bought mine. I like the look of the petal-style hoods more than the barrel or drum types and accessing a C-PL filter ring is easier.
.
I Regret that the angle of these images (below) makes the hood look much larger than it is on the lens. I have the camera/lens with hood on it sitting in front of me right now and the EW-60F lens hood looks smaller and shorter than it does in these photographs.
.
I've recommended this hood to other members of this forum in threads almost identical to this one and at least two other members here claim to use the same hood and like it. I think it's just the right size, it looks like it belongs on the lens and it's extremely robust. It rotates and then clicks into place - although I remember the first time I attached this hood to the lens that it required a little more pressure than expected. Even today, years later, the hood looks surprisingly new and the fitting is firm but loose enough to easily remove.
