Which would be a good old low-cost body?

Re: No love for X-T2 in UK.. why?

I noticed the same thing happening in the States when I bought my X-T20 a few weeks ago.  I could have purchased another X-T2 for the same price or even a bit less, grade for grade, pretty much across the board. A very funny thing.

Anyone buying one of those underpriced X-T2s is getting a very fine camera for their money, that's for sure.

Get the one you think would be cool to have in addition to your next camera. For me it would be the X-Pro1 instead of the X-E1.

Agree. An X-pro1 would be a very nice addition. Also demanding pretty hefty prices right now. the only one on eBay is offered at $850 By the way, I just saw some third-party sellers offering X100Vs on Amazon for $2700. Can't believe people are willing to pay this money regardless of how nice it is.

Get a nice XE1 or X-T1 the AF believe it or not is absolutely fine for most uses

I remember when I had an X-100 T and apparently the F fixed the 'awful AF speeds' which I never actually noticed in reality and remember handing an F and thinking 'it's not that much different I'll keep my money...'

Hey ho

I'm seeing mint X-T1's with all original accessories and the bundled flash for £279 - £330 buy it now on ebay here in the UK.

That's a killer price for an amazing camera with a lush EVF even by today's standards 100% 0.77 mag!

I just ordered an X-T2 for $599 in like new condition with 6 mos warranty, I'm happy.

Lotta of love for it here! I got mine from London Camera exchange 3 years ago literally almost brand new condition sub 2K s/count all original boxes and the lot 6 month warranty for £499!

Happy bunny and it will do me for at least 3 more years to come!

Well, it seems that XT2s in good shape are offered between $550-600 USD. I might put 300 more and get another XT3. Is not so big of a difference, or simply wait until the next Fuji announcement, maybe an X-E5 with IBIS or 40mp? Who knows.

New camera will add more frames and some new filmsimulation only . And more extra $$$$ .I think since XT3 no camera will give more than what I mentioned UP. XT3 the best choice for me at least.

I can only speak from the other side of the pond but here at least eBay is the place to sell, not buy. People pay higher prices on eBay than for the same items from shops with warranties and return periods. I would suggest doing a bit of research to figure out which retailers/resellers are good for which models, and keep waiting and checking for a bargain to appear. I rarely see a Fujifilm bargain on eBay.

You’re right though that there are no wrong options. Take what comes. IME the model that’s most likely to crop up cheap is the X-T10 (I recently got one boxed and in great condition for £150) but the X-E1 and X-T1 can also occasionally be had cheap. That said, all the X-Es seem to have gone up by around £100 over the last year, as has the X-T1. The T2 has stayed fairly stable and the T3/4 have come down a bit. Essentially most of the increase has been at the low end of the market, which is bad news for bargain hunters.

If you’re lucky you can find a tatty but functional model for a truly bargain price. I’m sitting next to my £17 X-E1 🙂 But it takes patience and a lot of watching.

Thank you all for your replies.

As I can see there are no bad choices here, I am surprised that there was not much love for the X-T1. I found only a few on eBay for 300-350 dollars but a little bit more beaten up than I would prefer.

BTW my lenses are the 18mm f2, 23mm f2, 35mm f1.4, and 60mm f2.4.

Late to this party, but I vote for the X-T1.  You can get them rated like-new from MPB or KEH for $500-ish or a bit under.   I'm thinking of getting one and I don't even like X-Trans.

Another thought would be a pristine-condition Bayer-sensor X-T100.  It's emphatically not for continuous AF, but single-focus stills are gorgeous.  Love that camera.  I really prefer the rendering and the way the color algebra plays out with the Bayer Fujis.  Same with XF10 and the original X100.      X-T100's successor, X-T200, not for me--IQ is at least as good but it's a more smartphone-esque interface, no D-Pad, etc.

I vote for XF10 and Xt100. Meaning that I vote for Bayer sensors.

I sold my X-T3 last year and kept my 4 primes waiting for the best next thing which in my case would be an X-E with the 40mp sensor or maybe an X100 with interchangeable lenses 🥹 -that might never happen.

I don't want to keep my lenses eating dust, so I wonder what would be a good cheap body to keep enjoying my glass and get good images?

No interest on video at all. Could be one of those evf-less small bodies, I dont know...

Thanks!

The only downside to the X-T1 generation cameras (X-T1, X-E2, X100S/T, and X70) are waxy skin tones you cant turn off in JPGs at ISOs over 1600.

An X-T3 for $650 seems like a better value.

The X-T2 was a huge step up from the first gen.  That was one of the few cameras that made me say "wow" when I used it the first time.  If you're not into video or sports/action, the X-T2 is excellent.  The important change going to the X-T3 was the blackout free viewfinder during e-shutter bursts.  If you're not doing high speed stuff or only using the mechanical shutter, the X-T2 is quite nice.

Re: X-T2, X-T20

The X-A7 is not a bad choice, it was my entry into the Fuji system and at the time i only spent $480 with the 15-45 lens.
