I think a problem in enjoying digital images, from any sensor, is the imbedded data on every image. I think fp/L opinion might change, with both Foveon apologists and naysayers, if the data simply said Sigma; no sensor architecture information to skew an opinion. One can no longer enjoy an image before reviewing the data to make sure it was obtained on the proper gear.

And with the "proper" settings, e.g. Aperture, Shutter, exp.comp, ISO, na-ni-na ...

The fear of damaging credibility by guessing wrong robs of the enjoyment. In years past one could appreciate fine work, blind to equipment. Appreciation now all too frequently carries a caveat.

Well said, Mike !!!

It's nice to have a good camera, and camera technology is a fascinating subject, but what makes a photograph stand out is the photographer's eye, skill and luck.

Where the camera does make a difference is that some cameras are easy to take with you, while others tend to stay at home. (Of course one can take good photos indoors too.)

Don: Then you would be perfectly happy with your phone…

… “Easy” doesn’t interest me. The quality of the image is all that matters.

8x10 film, or larger, would be the answer, in that case.

Circling sharks?  A little overwrought, even for you.

Don,

I mean a handgrip as part of the body something like the one on the Fujifilm XT-5

That kind of grip is available, too, for instance from Smallrig.

This one is

pretty good, but discontinued.

This little delay between the image shown on FPL screen and the real photo recorded is sometimes a pain: sometimes the face attitude, smile I captured on the back screen not matching what the sd card recorded for the final image and this is such a bad design. I just ordered a faster sd card to check how it behaves for stills.

Could any of the continuous shutter modes (3, 5, and 10 clicks per second) be helpful?

Thank’s Tom, as always you have great suggestions, I m gonna try. A faster sd card did not improved then I will try your idea. with a moving subject (even not quick), the preview image when shooting is different from the recorded photo.
