Changed RF 24-105 to 14-35+70-200 combo. Amsterdam trip.
12

That was something that was walking after me for some time.
I was not happy with performance of RF 24-105 f/4 - this lens was continuing Canon's 24-105 medium quality story.

So before my next trim to Amsterdam I've decided that the time has come. I've sold my 24-105 and bought RF 14-35 f/4 and 70-200 f/4. Looking at my photo history the 15-70 is something I can live without (it's a place for 24-70 in the future)

Took that combo with me to Holland. It was wonderful choice. The combo is lightweight (I'm still amazed with 70-200 size) and give top quality in scope of color, sharpness and contrast. Definitely that will be my new walking combo. Can't wait till my summer mountain trip.

In the meantime, some photos from Amsterdam, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Zansee Schans.

Best regards, Paweł.

Nice images Pavel - Amsterdam and other old NL cities are always very photogenic. However I especially like image no.2, May I ask where was that taken?

I have the same lenses as you, but I find my RF 24-105 L is very good, not mediocre.

The second one in from Zansee Schans - old windmill museum.

The main problem of my 24-105 is that had a varying results. I was always not sure how it will perform every time. Had some problems with sharpness - especially in corners. But I'm not saying it's bad lens. It's not the top one.

Although I like your pictures it is sad to see you only went to visit Amsterdam and it's nearest region. There is so much more to see in the Netherlands. And so much more to take beautiful pictures of.

It was business trip. Always when in Amsterdam I'm trying to make some pictures. This time the new lens combo was an accelerator.
I know much other places in Netherlands, this time there was no time for longer trips.

Not sure about RF version, but my EF 24-105 Mk ii not on par with my old EF Primes

My EF 135 F2 is very good but the 70-200 zooms are also good

I guess in standard focals you want the F/2.8 version
