In-camera processing and SOOC jpegs

I typically shoot raw and as such came across the recommendations to turn off the following from the start:

1. Lens Aberration Correction

- Peripheral illumination correction

- Distortion correction

- Digital Lens Optimizer

- Chromatic Aberration correction

- Diffraction Correction

- Auto Lighting Optimizer

2. Auto Lighting Optimizer

3. Highlight Tone Priority

4. Long Exposure Noise Reduction

5. High ISO Speed Noise Reduction

* Also use "Prolost Flat" picture style with sharpening settings to the lowest value

I want to start using SOOC jpegs more often (well more than not using it..... ).

Would it be worthwhile to turn back on any of those in-camera processing settings? How do you all that use SOOC jpegs often have it set up?

Thank you.

I shoot RAW only but export OOC JPEGs for viewing and sharing. Most all of those settings you listed can be undone in RAW except Highlight Tone Optimizer which bumps up the ISO to no less than 200. On a separate though related note, you want to be judicious about what you turn on. Some of those settings like HTP and Auto Lighting Optimizer are situational and probably should not be left on permanently. Plus those two are mutually exclusive.

4. Long Exposure Noise Reduction

OFF. I don't take long exposures.

5. High ISO Speed Noise Reduction

LOWEST SETTING. Higher settings will trade detail/sharpness for noise

For non-L lenses both of the options above significantly improve image quality in JPEGs.
So for EF-M I'd only consider turning it off for the 32mm

Perfectly satisfied with the output of my two native M prime lenses with those settings, thanks. Plus there's always the RAW files on the card to fall back on in critical, clinical instances.

Thank you. Going to experiment. I'll definitely need to set up a custom menu with these settings to quickly enable or disable them for jpeg or raw shots.
