I might consider the FPL.

But: I have scoured photos on the internet, and they seem sharp, but not supersharp to my eyes. Am I wrong? What is the largest print you have made that wowed you?

There does seem to be a disconnect between sharpness and resolution.

Resolution, the ability to render fine detail seems to be a bit more objective.

Sharpness seems to be more subjective in the sense that you can have too much sharpness which creates unrealistic images with harsh tones, excess noise and grit. More detail is usually an advantage while too much sharpness can uglify an image.

This means the appropriate level of sharpness appears subjective. Some people will prefer crispy as possible, others will appreciate a more gentle, subtle feel.
