Hi fellow fujiters!
A little over 2 months ago, I started a thread (here ) where I told you that, even if I loved the X-T5, I bought an X-T4 for a bargain of a price.
Well, here we are less than 3 months later and I changed my X-T4 for a new X-T5!
The X-t4 was a perfectly fine camera (I know, I had an X-T3 for more than 2 years before it), but the X-T5 has enough improvements (in UI specialy) that I thought that life is too short to be longing for a camera I can afford (it also helped that due to the extreme bargain I got for the X-T4 I ended selling it for more than I paid).
What I realy like about the X-T5 (on top of all the objective specs like lower base ISO, higer resolution and better AF):
- The tilting screen: I can live with an articulated screen, but I like a 3-way tilting screen a lot more. I would say this was the bigger reason for the upgrade
- The ability to chose on wich person's eye you focus when using eye AF. It just felt wrong in prior cameras to not be able to do this
- The new "film recipes": I knoe there are a lot of people that disagrees with me (and it could be improved a lot), but I prefer the new way the custom settings work. I tried different film simulations, but I ended shooting with Provia more than 95% of times. I shot RAW, if I want another film simulation, I use it in post. That's why I didn't used custom settings too much before, but now I can set different parameters for different shooting scenarios and I love it. I have one for portraits, one for landscape, one for night cityscapes, etc.
- The X-T5 is in silver. The offer I found for the X.T4 was only in black. I know, I know. It shouldn't matter. But it does. I'd be lying if I said the color wasn't a big reason to upgrade. I just love the looks of the X-tx series in silver
If you add the aforementioned objective upgrades, I'm very very happy with my X-T5 <3
