Panasonic camera with full-frame histogram?

I currently own a Panasonic G7. The histogram graph on this camera shows data for only a small fraction of the frame. The histogram position can be moved around within the frame, but the histogram area cannot be increased. Do any Panasonic micro four thirds cameras have the capability to display a full-frame histogram graph? (First post, thank you.)

I believe it calculates all the frame. What you move is just the window in which it is displayed.

As leorimkus said, the histogram is already doing what you want. It's showing a histogram for the whole image. Moving it around doesn't affect the data it is communicating - moving it is just a matter of display convenience.

Or are you simply asking for a larger histogram display?

Don't know anything about the Panasonic cameras but most of the Olympus models have a full screen histogram in the playback menu. In live view we only get a small image of the live histogram.

Correct - it can be moved around but not enlarged (no Panny to my knowledge can do that). You can possibly view the captured photo in complete R/G/B/Y cannels (size app. 1/3 of display) when reviewing the shot (just select with DISP button the mode you prefer). However this is G9 function, I do not know whether it applies to G7.

No, the histogram indeed represents the JPG version of the entire frame (full frame as per your words?) under the combined effect of parameters and filters etc in used. No matter where you put it, it shows you the same set of info.

No AFAIK it is a standard version for Pannys. We can switch it on, off and place it anywhere (not to obstract the operation) but can't resize it.

Just for my curiosity, do we really need a full screen display of the histogram since it can only offers us an impression on how the statistical info on the tones of the frame. The overall shape of it, plus the 0 or 255 clipping points could interestvus most more than knowing the detail of the chart?
