When I set up my C1 setting for f/8.0 and 1/200 with Auto ISO it registers those settings. However when I use this C1 setting my ISO display in the viewfinder jumps to 400 and never changes. The test shots come out as very underexposed. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Apparently there have been other threads that mention the ISO 400 limit on the 5DII when shooting manual with auto ISO. Check here and here . I don't think it was solved with a firmware update, based on what I read.

I think my issue is how to set auto iso and SET it. I actually had it working at one point, but don’t know what I did. Now I can’t get it back to Auto ISO on my C1.

According to the threads I linked, the 5DII limits auto ISO to 400 when shooting on manual. If you had auto ISO working before on that body, was it in shutter-priority, aperture priority, etc.?

It was in aperture priority. Doesn’t make sense for Canon to limit Auto ISO i manual to 400.

I don’t remember this functionality on my older 5D Classic. Thanks for the help.

Yeah I don't know why they limited the auto ISO in this body, and why they didn't fix it with a firmware update. Later bodies had it, so they knew it was functionality people wanted.
