Question for Helicon Focus Users

The software gives stacking users a choice of 3 rendering methods: A, B, and C.  I am usually macro-shooting complex foliose/fruticose lichen structures.  Helicon guidance suggests I use method C for this type of subject.  That said, I have noted OoF background brokeh is much more pleasing with method A, when the background is water .  Curious to learn what methods other macro-stackers have learned about use of H. focus.

When I did use it I always generated all options and picked one, usually b or c. Even with the same subject (just a slight angle change and a different stack) I’d choose different options. It seemed random, luckily it’s quick to generate
