? 850D shutter lag

Im looking to update my 550D. That camera has a long shutter lag compared to my 5Ds and 1Ds.

Has shutter lag and viewfinder blackout times improved on the 850D? Since the new camera has doubled FPS, I hope Canon improved shooting speed too.

Thanks!

Trolly,

I own an 850D and I don't notice any shutter lag.

Re: ? 850D shutter lag

I would guess the shutter lag on the 850D is quite a bit better than the 550D

Re: ? 850D shutter lag

I'm using Canon T7i (800D) cameras.  That's the model just before the Canon 850D.  I hadn't even thought about shutter lag problems.  But I haven't the experience with the same cameras that you have.  I would assume it would be a non-issue.

Thank's for the replies. The 850D seems like a good buy.

I tried to like several recent mirrorless cameras but none were as nice and easy to use as the good old 550D.

Trolly,

I have the 850D and like it very much.

If something were to happen to it (loss or damage), I would probably buy another.
