Weekly Theme Show# 10 February 8 - 14, 2023

Since no one else made a suggestion, I'll offer one:

This week's Theme is:

Progress

Bullet train, jet airplane, circular saw, digital camera, goose down jacket, a millstone, color tv. telescope, washing machine, half-way up a hill, cure for a disease...

Photograph something that shows Progress.

"Anything goes in this thread (as long as DPReview's general standards are not violated): any camera; any subject; any post-processing; etc. Recent images you have created in the past week or two are much preferred but not required. A little background on where, how and why you made the image(s) you posted would add interest. By posting here, you are inviting constructive criticism and general discussion of your images. Please share your expertise by providing constructive criticism on photos others have posted."

A person may enter the Theme Week as many times as they want, but please limit your photographs to no more than 4 (four) photos at a time.

Drone

Here's a photo I took last month. I was able to take this before the drone got up too high above the people. With the darker background, the drone was also quite visible.

My cat got up and changed position.

That's progress.

Sort of.

Light Rail
2

Last evening I was in downtown Portland, Oregon where I could see the tracks and light rail train.  For us, light rail transportation is progress.  It's relatively new, having first started service in 1986.  Later, additional extensions were made and other ones are planned for future use.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know; probably because the train runs on a track.

Found it.  They are more than one car long; thus a train.

Yes, there are many cars for each light rail train.  I took a photo of this train, but because it was at night and the shutter speed was so slow (because of the lighting), there was some motion blur.
