M6 II - grid artifact at very high e-shutter speeds?

Hi All

I moved from an EOS 450D to an M6 II about a year ago and have had a wonderful time. I'll make a post someday about the upgrade experience with pictures from the year. I'm sad to hear rumours of the M series demise but I enjoy the M6 II and, well, maybe I'll just keep enjoying it and taking pictures for about as long as I did the 450D...

However, today I have a question. I was messing around with very high e-shutter speeds and noticed at 1/16000/sec the image shows a kind of grid artifact under natural light. I've heard abut banding under artificial light but not this sort of grid artifact.

Has anyone else experienced this or could it be just my camera? Of course, this is not a big problem, it's rare to use such extreme shutter speeds, but it is a nice option when using wide apertures in daylight. It is not visible unless zoomed in but it is visible from about 50% zoom. I have included an extreme crop below. The artifacts appear in DPP, ACR, and DXOPL and also if the RAW is converted to JPG in camera.

Yap, that's what it does. It's normal for this model.
