Yes, great camera, but people paying between $1750-2200 US dollars for one in the used market makes me wonder if this could make Fuji put the brakes on the possible release of a new model.

Why bother with version VI if the current one is hotter than ever?

I guess we could blame Tiktokers for making Fuji the new Leica.

For that price you don’t have to pretend and get an M240 or M6 in mint condition.

Your not getting either for $2200

You think I said it just for fun? I see them come up for sale daily. How much do you think it’s an M240 now? Or an M6? Sure you can find M6 at $3,500 but that’s depending on what you get

Here’s an M240. Comes with a grip and an EVF too! Depending on condition you can get one from $2,200-$2,500 around there. https://www.ebay.com/p/144891780?iid=185762090212

here’s one a local guy posted a couple of weeks ago. I can go check it in person if you want it. Let me know . It’s beautiful and already braising a little

Ok, but we are talking about a different market ...surely the Thai market is different than the US, Japanese and European markets.  In the bigger market, while maybe you can find a great price like that sometimes, the prices are higher.  I predict prices go up with the strength of the baht this year.

I didn’t only send you Thai market prices. Did you even open the links?

Anyway, even the 2 Thai shops ship internationally and the prices are in USD.

my point still stands. And that’s that.

Which lens? The Ultron are just as good as the Summicron for <$1,000. A used 50 Summicron is <$1,400. Oh yea. You can actually change lenses on those unlike an x100. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not to mention if you take care of your M240 or M6 you’ll sell it for what you paid for it; some have sold theirs for more than they paid.

When people think the only reason we buy Fuji is because we cannot afford Leica, it is a discussion worth having. Especially when the topic is price.  I have a Leica M240.  Still like my Fujis more!

Sorry. No more Fuji vs Leica discussion

I’m not speaking about it anymore. The Mod is right. We can talk about it in its own thread.

Imagine what kind of X-Pro or X100 Fuji could make if the target price was $8,000-$10,000.

Demand exceeding supply will always have a distorting effect. Supply chain issues with chips and other parts caused used car prices to exceed new prices in the U.K. and USA. , and for all I know elsewhere. U.K. dealers of premium brands were even able to charge more for pre-registered, but unused cars, because they were not bound by the usual rules. Stuff like this happens. It is not unique to cameras, or the X100V.
