Weekly Theme Show# 7 January 18-24, 2023

Since no one else made a suggestion, I'll offer one:

This week's Theme is:

Clear

Clear as a bell, Clear as mud, Do I make myself clear?, cleared of a crime, Clear the Decks!, cleared for takeoff, crystal clear. cleared to board, clear your mind...

Photograph clear.

"Anything goes in this thread (as long as DPReview's general standards are not violated): any camera; any subject; any post-processing; etc. Recent images you have created in the past week or two are much preferred but not required. A little background on where, how and why you made the image(s) you posted would add interest. By posting here, you are inviting constructive criticism and general discussion of your images. Please share your expertise by providing constructive criticism on photos others have posted."

A person may enter the Theme Week as many times as they want, but please limit your photographs to no more than 4 (four) photos at a time.

Clear of Leaves and Clouds

OK, this is not an exciting photo.   But it's the only one I could find that's clear of something.

Well, in a way it was exciting for me.  We've had so much rain, that when I see clear blue skies, it makes me happy.

Clear of People

OK, I found some more....

I was here right after Christmas. During the summer months this is filled with people. But not this time. The first photo is where they have a fountain, but it has been decommissioned for the winter. The second picture are benches where people often sit. But that day it was an empty scene, clear of any people that normally would be there.

Re: Clear as in shiny, this is now an official 20 years old car

Several people on this forum have seen my old car but this year is special. This car is now officially 20 years old. A summer car of course. You know, the sports package model, standard transmission, cool engine and beautiful mags (I have two sets actually). Two photos: one from 2003 and one from 2022. Actually, it was assembled in September 2002 in Indiana if i remember well. No tricks, original paint, never had an accident (knock on wood) and with all the bells and whistles working. No tricks, but a lot of elbow grease.

This year I’m returning to the 15 inches original mags because the 16 inches mags have an unconventional size and tires for it are harder to find but plenty available for the 15 inches ones. Of course, I had to maintain this car and it it wasn’t free…

Only the surroundings have changed. Sold my Montreal house after 18 years in 2016 and now living in our former family cottage (bought it from my parents and before that, it belonged to my grandfather who had it built in 1964, the year I was born).

Regards,
There is always something to shoot/snap, you just have to know how to do it and have the right gear.
