Pix for the Week Ending January 13th to 15th, 2023
3

Hello Sigma Shooters!

January 2023 is here! It is very cold and snowy weather is already here in Denver. Time for our weekly show and tell about images taken with a Sigma cameras and lenses. Remember the drill, you can enter up to 3 images and it would be helpful if you give you post a title so that comment will be directed properly.

Now go out and shoot some pix and have fun. Members in the northern hemisphere try to stay warm!

My New Year wish is for good healthy and good light for all in the Sigma world!

Image was made on the road to Telluride in the fall on 2021.  Camera was the Sigma SD1 Merrill mounted with the 18-35 mm Art lens.

Enjoy!

Excellent. And I don't see why people keep saying the Merrill colours are bad.

How many shots did you stitch ?

Thanks, Don. A bit of late afternoon sun. It was still very breezy out on the river with a strong westerly running straight down the river out to Carrick Roads where it is rough.

seven shots, handheld whilst the mutt was off exploring the low tide line.

Re: Storm's a Brewing!

Hi Larry. My wife likes this picture very much, it reminds her of the area under the Tatras, where she was born (Carpathian Mountains - High Tatras). She walks around this photo like a ballerina
According to her, everything is there - mountains, snow, beautifully colored forests and the dramatic sky that she remembers from her childhood.
So thanks for the nice picture and add another one please I would add one, but I've been suffering with a treated tooth for a month and I have to stay in the heat until it heals..

I tried to enhance the details. I hope I didn't go too far, in which case I apologize. It is possible that my OLED TV LG 55" displays the photos differently.

Very nice country! Peter

The enhanced detail is a bit too much on my small Apple iMac monitor.  The original seems true to life, as it was a cloudy, overcast day in the mountains with fairly flat lighting.

Re: Storm's a Brewing!

I understand Larry, you probably have a higher resolution monitor, I understand the rest of what you write.. sorry Larry, I tried it according to my monitor, according to what I saw on my monitor. There may be differences between the monitor I had before and the 55" OLED TV I have now, and I practically don't even have the chance to compare it.
Please excuse my effort to compare the image according to my monitor. It is a necessary response for me.
Thank you for your understanding.

Three from the rainforest

I may have posted these before, but I have just purchased a 4K monitor and have now re-posted them on PBase at almost full size (I normally post smaller files).

Beautiful Fernshaw  - The trail was blocked with numerous fallen trees but it looked just gorgeous.

Fernshaw, Black Spur

Beautiful Fernshaw - Unnamed Creek

The Sigma Merrills never cease to amaze me.
