Fujifilm X-T4: Intermittent issue with AF mode selection

I take wildlife photos, and switch frequently between single-point and zone AF modes while I'm out shooting. I have AF mode set to "All" in the menu so I can select using the command dial, and the joystick set to "Push to unlock." This mostly works great — I push the joystick, then turn the command dial to move between single-point, zone, and tracking AF modes.

But, every so often when I push the joystick I get a screen that looks sort of like the AF mode selection screen, but not quite. There's a green rectangle and autofocus points, but it doesn't specify which mode I'm in and rotating the dial just changes the size of the rectangle between large, medium and small. The only way to get out of it is to turn the camera off.

It happens erratically and I can't replicate it. I've scoured the internet looking for an answer but haven't found any mention of this anywhere. I presume it's something I'm doing accidentally that's causing it, though for the life of me I don't know what! I'm not a novice with this camera, I leave my settings alone for the most part, and yet it happens at least a couple of times every time I spend a couple of hours out taking pictures.

Is it me? Is it a bug? Anyone else experiencing this?
