Canon 28mm IS

I've just bought a Canon 28mm IS and it's very sharp. I've tested the IS and it seems to work better with a bit of movement rather than trying to stand still. Does IS need movement to work? I've shot down to 1/10 so far and its only sharp if I move a little

the m6II is known for shutter shock.

switch to e-shutter and repeat tests

Re: Canon 28mm IS

I can if I move a little but if I'm still it doesn't work. Maybe it's why they tell people to turn off IS on a tripod

I've used that lens both ways on a tripod - with the IS on and with it off. I see no difference at all in the images. Have never needed to be moving to get sharp shots.

I have the 28 IS and I don’t have any such IS issues.
