I think the big blocks in '70 were all LS motors. The LT1 was a small block.

Thank you, I had reviewed the 1970s and thought it was an LT 1 - you are correct it is an LS - and the only one on here or FB to see it.

I'll redo the sheet ,  it was a little top heavy corner cramped anyways.

Thanks, I want the correct specs.

People seem to love their Vettes the way people love their VW Bugs or Dodge Jeeps - I am not an owner but have known a few..

I can't remember exactly anymore, but the LS6 and LS7 were the high horsepower versions. I think the LS6 had iron heads and the LS7 had aluminum heads.

You could get the same engine in a Chevelle SS. The lower HP version was common in Impala station wagons.

Big blocks were common in about anything back then.

The cheap price is probably because of the plastic headers. Wonder why it was designed that way?

I'm no expert but I think these Maistos are the for the beginner collector.

The body is metal but most of the rest is plastic.

Even if it is plastic, the paint selections can be better - my bugaboo is the body paint,

it should be blue with yellow lettering, forget the white - blue would really pop the engine compartment and matte grey metalic would have been better for the heads / mufflersif they are plastic - that chrome paint has the phony plastic look.

I posted a silver 1 / 18 Porsche Spyder some time ago that nailed the paint scheme with a simple grey metalic, it is plastic but the attention to look makes it look more real than this guy.
