Why can't my Canon EOS M200 use the Yongnuo 85mm f1.8 lens ?

it says on the screen " Push and hold the lens switch in ^ Direction and then rotate the lens to enable shooting ". like when I use the kit lens.

But when I tried it on the EOS M3 this lens worked and could be used. what is the cause?

Some Yongnuo lenses are based on the DSLR protocols, sometimes they don't communicate properly with newer bodies. Possibly the EXIF is piggybacked from another lens.

There is firmware for the Sony version, so you have to dig around and see if there is a Canon one.
