AF + MF

I’m trying to find the option in the menu to change my Focus to AF + MF on the EOS m200. Yes, I have the manual. Couldn’t find it in there. I seen videos for the m50, and one video on YT for the m100 which I thought would be similar, but, it’s not giving me the option in the focus mode menu section. I can only choose from AF or MF Focus. Don’t know if I’m overlooking something because I’m looking too hard, or the m200 is lacking this feature?

Thanks!

I do not have M200. But IMHO, the menu depends on what lens is being used. Is your lens thrown to the body supporting AF+MF or full-time manual?

Red menu -> Tab 7 -> Lens electronic MF -> “Enable after One-shot AF - On” 😃

What do you mean by "AF + MF"? Are you referring to the case where you half-press the shutter button to AF and then turning the MF ring manually to finetune the focus? If that is what you are referring to, I think you can do it in the "AF" focus mode.

It was named "AF + MF" and located under "Focus mode" on previous models.

On the M200 it is moved/renamed to "Lens electronic MF" (on Tab 7) with the option to "Enable after One Shot AF" (as I said in my previous post).

Yes, you are correct. I just checked my M200. This feature needs to be turned off through the "Lens electronic MF" which you have mentioned. Think I have turned on this feature since the beginning and forgotten that it can be turned off. 👍

Sorry, my bad. This feature needs to be turned on as per what MyM6II has mentioned in the earlier thread, which is under "Lens electronic MF" (on Tab 7). Remember to switch your AF operation to "One Shot" and not "Servo".

Re: AF + MF

Thanks! Yep, on the m100 there’s a menu option for AF + MF. That’s why I got a little confused. On the m200 you have to turn ON Enable after One-Shot AF, and then you can MF while 1/2 pressing the shutter down.

Thanks again!
