Finally took first trip since Covid and then spinal surgery.  So nice to have a small camera with great IQ.  Canon is really missing the boat by not supporting the M system.

Thanks Sekob and David. Next week I will change my camera's setting from jpeg to RAW+jpeg and get a software. I hear DxO Photolab 6's name everywhere especially for noise removing. What about sharpening or other processings? Is it overall the best choice?

Sorry, I know this thread is not the right place.

I routinely use both. DxO Photolab for developing and noise reduction, then Topaz for sharpening.

DxO Lab is a universal processing tool, there are great opportunities. Personally, I use DxO Lab only to a limited extent (noise reduction, experiments with color profiles), mostly I prefer to work in Capture One. It's a matter of tastes and habits.

For birds, you can make feeders with food (grain, lard)

I feed them (wheat and rice). Yesterday a photo of a frozen one (in our city) was spread in socials, mourning for mourning.

You are doing everything right, I am sure your contribution will save someone from the birds. In our region, some of the birds fly to the south, for the winter. Some remain to winter, but they are resistant to frost. However, it is in our tradition to feed the birds.

A few more from Montego Bay, Jamaica. Really having fun with the EF-M 55-200 STM. A very under rated lens IMO. I left all my expensive L-Glass at home with my R5 and came with 4 EF-M lenses and my M6 II. Incredible travel combo.

SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch with M6iis
6

Having 3 M6ii's came in handy for tonight's SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch, which could be seen from Tampa, Florida almost exactly at the moment of sunset, providing some neat photo and video opportunities!

These 3 still photos were taken with an M6ii plus the EF-M 55-200 by my son.

The link below them is to a YouTube video, where I used a second M6ii plus the 22mm f2 for a 15-minute time-lapse video, and the third M6ii with the Sigma 150-600C lens plus the Kenko 1.5x SHQ teleconverter for a super-close-up sequence of the launch in real time, clearly showing separation and ignition of the 2 boosters that returned to Cape Canaveral.

Launch of SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket on 1/15/2023 over the skyline of Tampa, Florida. Buildings are one mile away, the rocket is more than 100 miles away.

Rocket trails over the Tampa skyline, wiht the main rocket moving away and to the right

2 boosters firing to return to Earth (top) while main rocket continues into space (right)

These are great!

In terms of rocket-watching, the last one is the most interesting. As a photo, I like the middle one most.

Taken in a church in difficult lighting conditions (dark and a lot of incense in the air). DxO Pl 6 used for optical corrections and minor noise removal. Significantly cropped.

Re: Post your PHOTOS! - January and February 2023

Oh, cool...I know where that is...I used to walk around there decades ago. It's east of Barstow, as you drive out towards Las Vegas. There's some neat rock collecting...I used to find hematite rocks. I'm now living in Oregon. That was a very long time ago.

If you look in that location, you'll see rounded rocks caused by water erosion.  That area used to be a lot wetter with streams and lakes.  From memory, the lake in the region was called Lake Manix.  I have a round rock from there on my bookshelf.

Nice shot!

Except the fact that the person on the right side uses a Nikon-camera
