drain fly
6

I was confused when I saw this through the lens.

I was expecting a fly. This looks like a moth but is not right for that. I finally Tracked down what it is.

It is a true fly!

Psychodidae flies are called drain flies, sink flies, filter flies, sewer flies or sewer gnats. They are a family of true flies. Male Clogmia albipunctata is moth like and called moth fly.

There are more than 2,600 described species worldwide.

They are in Suborder Nematocera.  That includes mosquitos and crane flies.
