Just scored a G16
6

If you wait long enough good things come and today was my turn when I scored a G16 in like new condition with an almost non existent shutter count for $US30.00.

I have been wanting one for a while now, infact since they came out but I already had a G12 and a G1X mk1 filling the Canon compact stable.

Wow what a beast and a real dream machine to use.

I never could understand why they dropped these at G16, I know that the 1 inch sensor models were rolled out but with the stunning F1.8 to F2.8 lens there really was not a lot of difference between them and a lot of compromise in the later G cameras.

Well pleased I must say

Re: Just scored a G16

Canon G series is a class, unequalled IMHO. My G16 performs up to my everyday needs (generally street shots), and never felt any compelling to change it for anything else. It deserves a neologism: Unupgradeabe.

Enjoy your little gem.

I have only had my G7 X mark II for a week and I am already loving the lens.  I have finally found a worthy successor to my G2 and it only took 2 decades.

Well pleased I must say
