Canon R10 updated FW 1.2.0 issues

Hi, I would like to ask about your experience with updated firmware. So far, I have two:

A) My Speedlite 430 EX II TTL started to act strange. I can't select correction on flash (only in manual mode) and TTL used full power, so pictures were totaly overexposed.

B) In case of my Tamron SP AF 70-300mm f/4,0-5,6 Di VC USD (through reduction) optical stabilization stopped working. It works on my 750d and it worked on R10 before update like a charm.

Maybe there are more issues, I haven't used my camera much last month. Its sad, Canon doesnt allow downgrade (tried via sd card and eos utility) and I don't want to try "tricks" by removing SD card during the fw update.

I tried update to 1.2.0 repeatedly with the same result.

Reverting to an earlier F/W version is easy actually (did it on my R5 a while back).  You don't remove the card during the F/W update, unless you want to brick your camera.  Card removal only happens when the camera is looking for the firmware file.

Of course I meant during the update process, not directly when loading the data (which would be crazy idea), but even so, there were more cases when everything did not go so easily and the update stopped during (successfully started) uploading. Not exactly with the R10, but I'd rather not take the risk.

EDIT: OK, so I decided to take a chance. If I open the battery door nothing happens. The camera does not respond to this from the update firmware selection (grey screen) and acts as if nothing happened. Canon has clearly learned from the R5.

PROBLEM SOLVED

It turned out, Tamron VC was faulty. After a few years, VC started to stop working. For the first time just after 1.2 FW upgrade on R10. With my 750d VC worked for a while. So I tried to upgrade FW in Tamron service to officially support R body and R adapter. In service, they found out that VC randomly stop working on more cameras (R and older DSLRs). And the same was later in case of my R10 a even 750d.

So, It motivated me to buy a new 55-250 stm for a decent price. Fine and lightweight combo with R10 (enough for my needs).
