Thank you ( DarnGoodPhotos ) for the links.
When searching before this forum thread existed I finally gave up and went with alternative. I will keep your case suggestion in mind but this was my alternative.
a. The first for ( $29 ) was a very nice leather half case with a machined Arca-Swiss plate integrated into it. It's easy to get to the battery and mount a tripod with the case on. All the doors are accessible and it is anywhere from ( 1/3 ) to ( 1/4 ) the prices for others on the market with a build quality close to this one. It shipped out of China and took a while to get to me but I can say it was worth the wait. My guess is the price on this will go up when it gets discovered. Only downside is I could not get it in black.

b. Second for ( $23.99 ) was a neoprene cover when not shooting. It is plenty roomy, light and can be attached when a lens hood is also attached with little effort and it's not snug. I can always just roll it up and put it in my pocket when shooting.

Those look nice and your leather case has an L Plate which is handy if you tripod a lot. What's the leather quality liker? I had cheap case for my X-E1 which had a plasticky feeling leather sealant that didn't wear well over a year or two.
That being said I find the raised ridge on my half case to be too useful to consider an X100 case without it. The outer part isn't attached to the half case but the ridge holds it in place very well. I also don't mind brown leather on my black camera.
