Hi Gringostarr,

I know it's slightly OT, but I notice you have the new 30mm. I've ordered one, but it's yet to arrive. Are you using it as a general purpose as well as macro lens? There are a few reviews around that are quite positive but very few serious tests. How are you finding it?

Thx, cheers, Rod

Yes I am, though I'm still using the 35/1.4 for my low light lens until I settle on which way I'm going when it comes to a faster replacement for the 60/2.4 and possible replacement for the 14/2.8.
Once that happens though I plan on keeping only the 30 as my general purpose lens and letting go of the 35/1.4 and 27/2.8. I've found that it's rare that I actually want a fast midrange lens while I've been really looking to getting both a fast wide and medium telephoto lens.

A really well put together set, and the soundtrack really compliments the presentation. May I ask who is the performer of that version of "Strawberry Fields Forever"?.

I agree. A really nice set of photos with the X-E4. Well worth watching the video.

(I believe the soundtrack is Strawberry Fields by Tatran).

Thank You So Much!

That’s the best set of street/documentary images I’ve seen in quite a while. Chapeau!

X-E4 rekindled my love of photography after taking a few years off. Great camera and surprising durable, even thou I moved on to the XT5, the X-E4 was a steal for what i paid at the time.

Great pics, Ori. While there is good street photography in Israel, this really is the best. You really get the most out of your cameras, both in content and style.

Last year I have sold my X-t2 and X-pro2 and bought a new X-E4.

I wanted a smaller form-factor in a RF style camera with a flip screen for the streets.

The reviews of the X-E4 are not always positive, and I think that's a shame.

Omar Gonzalez even cancelled his order.

I was worried by the lack of grip and buttons, but this camera is a joy to use (the IQ and AF is similar to the other Fuji's at the same generation). The buttons allow me to do whatever I want and the small body is easy to grip.

Please take a look at the pictures I have shoot last year with the X-E4:

Happy new year to all,
