Fuji h2 vs Nx1 - 8 k vs 4 k video

Hi,

Today viltrox launch a very affordable, 75mm, f1.2, with auto focus, for 500$, and this made me think. Viltrox lenses are great and affordable, but they dont make them for the NX system. But they make them for Fuji cameras.. then i thought about the Fujifilm h2, it records 8k vídeo... Uau!!

I always thought 4k vídeo on the nx1 was so good, it seems more than 4k. Footage looks better than on 8 k câmeras, such as the blackmagic câmeras. How can this be possíble? 4k being sharpper than 8k zooming it? I ask is it really 4k vídeo on the nx1, or os it more resolution?

Anyway, i dont have a 4k monitor at home. I judge from a full HD monitor, só i ask your Help? Which of these footage looks the sharppest? Pixel peeling, zooming to 300%, etc...

Or the nx1

Thanks,

PS i love pixel peeling lol

Re: Fuji h2 vs Nx1 - 8 k vs 4 k video

The 4k from the nx1 is downsampled from 6k I believe. It is also slightly over sharpened and there's no way to fully dial this down.

I guess 8k would have its advantages as long as the lens is capable of resolving that level of detail. I would certainly use it to extract still images from the footage.

I doubt I'd make much use of 8k footage at the moment, no plans to get an 8k TV.

Also, the first video is shot at iso 1000 with an ND Filter. Not sure how this may impact the sharpness.

Thanks for replying. The thing is, it is great to have the habillity to do close Ups, zooms, etc, of the footage you shot. But does it justify the additional extra space?

I dont think NX vídeo is overshapened. I think its is detailed, despiste if its Seen on a non 4k monitor it seems oversharpned.

I watch the vídeo below, and although the Smart phone looses in low light, it wins big in daylight..

The Samsung Galaxy shot 8k vídeo. I hate the ergonomy of the smartphone, but the day they can deliver realtime bokeh, or the habillity to Change dof in post, câmeras are doomed. No camera Smart phone should win against a dedicated câmera, but they are winning.

The p40 takes great photos, in low light it is unbeatable... I do a lot of keying. I imagine a day with Smart phone, where you dont Need a green screen. I mean if they can blur the background they can remove it, right?
