Downtown street shooting (XT5+27/2.8)
7

Was trying to capture some lights trails, but wasn't as successful as I wanted. Will try a bit faster speeds and a steady subject (love the yellow taxis for this kind of shots)

The 27/2.8 seems to be pretty good for general street shooting

my other half

hope lady wont get angry if she sees the photo. I found her very beautiful and thought it would capture nicely

Great set of images!

The 27 is fast becoming one of my favourite Fuji lenses. Given the choice I would still plump for a 23mm but the 27 is so compact and surprisingly sharp it’s almost a lens for all occasions.
It has been glued to my X-E3 over the Christmas period for family snaps and any other opportune moments.

The only negative for me is it’s ‘only’ f2.8 but we can’t have everything.

Yes its rather slow, but on the other hand I am not afraid to go to more than ISO6400 or even 12800 with the Fuji XT5 (although it is worse than XT3 in terms of ISO performance...).

I think for street I am keeping the 27/2.8 and the 35/2. I also tried the Tokina 33/1.4 but so far I am not impressed. Nothing hugely wrong with it, I am just not connecting it with it yet.

Really been pining for the 27mm but currently using the 33mm 1.4 as my every day shooter. Is it too redundant to own both?

I've recently upgraded from my decade-old Lumix GF1 and the 20mm pancake was my go-to for every day shooting and I really miss the compactness of that setup.

I've really been enjoying the 33mm and my new X-T5 and as much as I long for the 27mm and it's size I feel like I might regret buying it just for size alone.
