X-S10 stuck in AF-C when recording video

I just started using this camera and I’m loving it, but suddenly every time I try to record video, even when I’ve checked that the focus mode is set to manual, as soon as I hit the record button, it switches to autofocus. I can use manual focus when taking stills but it just won’t work with video, and no matter what potential solutions I try, nothing works. I’m pretty new to cameras so maybe it’s something really obvious, but does anyone know a fix? Thank you.

Pressing the record button always uses AF-C, according to the manual .

I think you need to be in movie mode (rotate the mode dial) so you can set the AF mode in the AF/MF menu:

That's weird, I swear I was recording with manual focus in the other modes. I don't know why that stopped working, but switching it to movie mode did work and I can record in MF now. Thanks!
